The committee now part of the Munster Agricultural Society, it follows on from its foundation in 1880 in taking on the running of the MAS programs of education and agricultural development The meeting reviewed the reports on its current programs with University College Cork on both agricultural research and biodiversity, as well as its support to Food Science. The meeting also reviewed the work on the joint arboretum currently under development by the Society under the guidance of Aoife Leader of UCC.
