Council of Presidents

Established in 2025, the Council of Presidents serves in an advisory capacity within the Munster Agricultural Society.

While the Council holds no formal authority over decision-making, it provides valuable oversight and acts as a sounding board on matters relating to the Society’s activities. In essence, it functions as an ordinary committee, but one with the benefit of experience, continuity, and the esteem attached to its members.

Objectives of the Council of Presidents:

  • To offer guidance and support to the Board and Committees of the Society.

  • To provide a forum for discussion and reflection on the long-term direction of the Society.

  • To uphold the traditions and heritage of the Munster Agricultural Society while encouraging its continued development.

  • To maintain links between past and present leadership.

  • To serve as ambassadors for the Society within the wider community.

The Council is not involved in the day-to-day running of the Society but contributes through its collective knowledge, experience, and commitment to the Society’s enduring success.
