The Equine (Showing & Showjumping) Subcommittee plays a vital role in organising and managing all equestrian activities at the Cork Summer Show. This includes overseeing the showing classes, where participants showcase their horses' conformation and presentation, as well as showjumping competitions, which test skill, agility, and teamwork between horse and rider.
The subcommittee is responsible for:
- Planning and scheduling equestrian events and competitions.
- Setting guidelines and ensuring adherence to rules and standards for each class.
- Coordinating with judges, stewards, and event officials.
- Managing entries and ensuring all participants have a seamless experience.
- Providing an engaging and safe environment for competitors and spectators alike.
