University College Cork (UCC) is planning a special event on Friday, 4th December in the Aula Maxima to celebrate 100 years since the establishment of the Faculty of Dairy Science at UCC.

This event follows on from a recent commemorative occasion held in Government Buildings in June, organised jointly with UCD, marking the centenary of the University Education (Agriculture and Dairy Science) Act of 1926. This landmark legislation provided the foundation for the establishment of the Faculty of Dairy Science at UCC and played a significant role in shaping Ireland’s agriculture and food systems.

Members of the Munster Agricultural Society General Council, Board of Directors, and Dairy School Committee are warmly invited to attend.
