Meeting of the General Committee held Saturday 17th Oct.1931. Wm. Roberts  in the chair  also present Miss Gubbins, Prof. Boyle, Dr. G.H.M Crofts, Commander Hodder, Major Morgan, Messrs.  N. Hayes, F.G. Hayes, J. Henderson, T. McGrath, J. Stanley, T. O’Sullivan, M. Twomey, P. Crowley, T.J. Spillane, N. Twomey, D. Cronin, Wm. Desmond, P.J. Good, A. Mullins, D. Ross, E.J. Clarke, J. Daly, P.J. Connell, Ed. Hall, P.J. Halliden, A. Morrison, Hon. Sec.

The minutes of the last meeting were read & signed.

Votes of condolence  were received from Mr. J. O’Regan & Wm. Desmond,  & read & the Secretary  was instructed to insert same on the minutes.

On the motion  of Miss Gubbins  seconded  by Mr. J.O’Sullivan  the three retiring members from the Show Committee were re-elected  Viz:- Messrs.  J. Daly, V.S., Wm. Desmond, D. Ross.

On the motion of N. Hayes seconded by Mr. F.G.  Hayes the following  were re-elected on the Dog Show Committee :- Mr. L. Dobbin, Mrs  Francis  O’Connor , Miss H. Patten, Mrs  E.H. Fielding, Dr. A.F.M. Mullane, A.H. Short. It was decided to give power  to the Dog  Show Committee to co-op  an additional  member.

 The following were  re-elected on the Horticultural Committee .On the motion  of Mr.  J. Daly seconded by Miss Gubbins: - Messrs.  Wm. Roberts, C.J. Lane, P. Crowley, S.C. Cavanagh, Mrs Twomey, Mrs Dairy, Mrs T.A. Clarke

The following were re-elected the Poultry Committee on the motion of  Mr. Hayes  seconded by Mr. Desmond ,viz.:- Wm. Roberts ,Mrs. Gubbins, Mrs T.B. Tuckey, Miss Olden, Miss Roberts, Mrs. Meade, Mrs J.D .Sheedy, Mrs E.J. Clarke, Mrs Hodder, & Dr. Crofts  was elected in place of Mrs Topp.

On the motion of Mr. P. Crowley seconded by Prof. Boyle; the following cheques were  passed. Ml. Galvin £24.4.0, Kanturk Show £4.17.6, J. Byrne £22.0, Petty Cash £20.0.0, Miss Vangham £5.16.8, Wages £30.

On the motion of Mr. W. Desmond  seconded by Mr. Crowley  a vote of condolence  was passed  to the relatives of the  late Mr. D.J. Lynch.

With reference to the outstanding  subscriptions  the Secretary was instructed to  send  out  a circular requesting members to pay their current subscriptions.

Mr.  N.Hayes  said that served complaints  had been made to him  regarding the  seating accommodation in the  stands at the show  after some discussion the matter was referred to the Show Committee
