Meeting of the General Committee held 21st September, 1929

Meeting of the General Committee held 21st September, 1929

The minute of the last meeting were read & signed. On the motion of Mr. R. Wood seconded by Mr. D.J. Lynch the following cheques as recommended by the General Committee were passed, J. Byrne Salary £22.10.0 Eustace Co. £20.0 Petty Cash £20.0.0, Eagle Works £50-0-0, wages £25-

 A letter was read from the Department of Agri stating that they had no scheme in operation for the making of loans to farmers for the purchase of brood mares.

                                                 After some discussion the Secretary was instructed to write to the Agricultural Credit Corporation for information.

A further letter was read from the Department of Lands + Agric. Referring to the Wards Poultry Congress to be held in the Crystal Palace London 22-30 July, 1930 and asked the Society to appoint delegates. On the motion, the President Capt. Clarke seconded by Mr.  A. Mullins. Miss M.E. Gubbins was appointed to act with Mr. Wm Roberts who was proposed by Mr. J. O’Sullivan & seconded by Mr. D.J. Lynch.

A letter who read from Mr. Lane thanking the Committee for their vote of condolence passed to him on the death of his wife  and on the    motion of The President Capt. Clarke. The Secretary was instructed to insert the same on the minutes.
