Meeting of Finance Committee held on Saturday,21st September,1929, the President , Capt .T.A. Clarke, in the chair. Also, present Messrs. Wm. Roberts, T. O’Sullivan , M. Twomey, Wm. Desmond, J. Henderson & J. Barrett. The minutes of the last meeting were read and signed. The following cheques were recommended to the General Committee, on the motion of Mr.WRoberts,seconded by Mr. T.O’sullivan :-

A deputation from the Southern Greyhound & Sports Co. Ltd. Consisting of Messrs. P.J. Nolan & W. Twitchett, Directors .and D.J. Tierney, Engineer, appeared before the meeting with reference to the work which had been carried out in the Jumping Enclosure and which had been stopped by the Society. Mr. Nolan, who acted as spokesman on behalf of the deputation .put forward the President ,Capt. T.A. Clarke, having pointed out that there had been deliberate breaches of the agreement, after cautionary notices had been given. Capt. Clarke intimated that the only condition upon which the Society could possibly overlook the breaches that had taken place would be by the Company entering into an agreement to be prepared by the Solicitor for the Society in such for as would safeguard the Society.
