The minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed.

Capt. Newentam, having been proposed and seconded at a former meeting of the society was elected member of the society. 

Mr. Bryne stated that as the secretary's letter did not reach him in time he was unable to represent the society at the conference re. railway rates. 

On the proposition of Mr. Bryne seconded by Capt. Sarsfield it was decided that the secretary should communicate with the Cork Chamber of shipping and commerce, and also with Mr. Baxter, secretary of Irish Conference on Railway Rates and ascertain from them what steps they were taking with reference to the forthcoming inquiry on railway rates to be held in Dublin and also to ascertain the date fixed for inquiry, the secretary was also directed if necessary to summon a special meeting of the committee to consider the replies received from these, at which if it was thought necessary a sum of £10 be voted for the protection of the Agricultural society. 

Cheque for £36 was required to required to cover expenses of Stallions.
