Meeting of the General Committee held on Saturday,28th October, 1933.The President  N. Hayes   in the chair, also present Miss M.E Gubbins, Commander  W.R. Hodder,  Capt.  Crean, Major T.P, Morgan, Messrs. W. Desmond, T.D., N. Hayes, H. Twomey, P.J. Good,  D. Ross, P.J. O’Connell ,F.G. Hayes, J. Henderson, T. McGrath, J. O’Regan, P. Crowley, A.H. Good, T. Goold, P.J. Halliden, C.A. Love, T. O’Sullivan, St. S. Murphy, J.B. Roberts, T.J .Spillane, M. Twomey, W.A. Whitelegge, and A. Morrison, Hon. Secretary.

The minutes of the last meeting were read & signed.

The following cheques were passed :-

A letter was read from Mr.Beale, and ordered to be inserted  in the Minutes:-‘’Clifton  Villas,Montenotte , Cork.

The Secretary , Munster  Anel Socy.  Dear Sir, I write  on  behalf  of my mother  and the other members  of the family  to thank  you for your letter  of sympathy  on my  father’s death  .Please  convey to the members  of the Committee  for your Society  our  appreciation of the resolution passed  by them.I know that  the  welfare of the Munster Agricultural  Society meant  much  to my father and  their  summer shows interested him particularly.We value the expression  of sympathy  passed  by the Committee gently.  Yours faithfully,Maxwell C. Beale(sd)’’

                           The following  members  retired  from the  Show Committee ,barring the least  member of attendances:-Messr.  E.I.Clarke, W.Desmond,T.D. & A.H. Moore, and on the  proposition  of  Mr.  T.O’Sullivan, seconded by  Mr. P.I.Good, they were unanimously  re-elected  to the Show Committee.

                                On the motion of Mr. Mullins ,seconded by Miss  Gubbins, the following were re-elected to the Dog Show Committee:- Miss  H.Patten, Mrs. D. O’Connor, Miss Hoare, Dr. E.V. Cantillon, Dr. A.F.M. Mullane , Messrs.  L.Dobbin  and Wm.  O’Sullivan.

                                  On the motion of  Mr. A.H. Moore, seconded by Mr.  P.J. Good, the following  were unanimously re-elected  members  of the Poultry Committee :- Miss M.E. Gubbins, Mrs.  T.B. Tuckey, Mrs. J.D. Sheedy, Miss W.R. Hodder, Miss Roberts, Miss L.H. Meade, Mrs. E.J. Clarke, Miss G. Montgomery, Dr. G.H. Crofts, and A. Morrison.

  The following members  were re-appointed  on the Horticultural Committee , on the motion  of Mr. J. O’Sullivan, seconded

 

By Mr. F.G. Hayes :-  Mrs. T.A. Clarke, Mrs. T.B. Tuckey, Mrs. M. Dring, Messrs.  T.T. Baker ,P. Crowley ,A. Morrison, and  Major Meade  was elected in place of Mr. Charles Lane.

On the motion of  Mr.Mullins,seconded by Mr. Hayes, it was agreed  to adopt  the suggestion  of the Dog  Show Committee  that this Committee  be increased  up to  10 members, and that a recommendation  be sent  forth  to the  annual general  meeting to alter  the rules  governing  this Committee ,so  as to give effect  to the suggestion  of the Dog Show  Committee.

 On the motion of  Mr.T.O’Sullivan  , seconded by Mr. J. Daly, V.S,a vote of  condolence  was passed  to therelatives of the let  Mr. J.T. Healy, and to Mr. Hugh  Twomey on the death of his mother.
