Meeting of the General Committee  held on Saturday  19th September ,1931. Mr. Wm Roberts in the chair, also present General Sir  Geo. Franks, Major Morgan, Professor Boyle, Messrs. T.J. O’Sullivan, Matt. Twomey, P. Crowley, A.H. Moore, F.G. Hayes, J.S. Henderson, T. McGrath, E. Wall, D. Ross, E.J. Clarke, J. Daly, V.S., P.J. O’Connell, D. Cronin, P.J. Good and T. Goold.

Meeting of the General Committee  held on Saturday  19th September ,1931. Mr. Wm Roberts in the chair, also present General Sir  Geo. Franks, Major Morgan, Professor Boyle, Messrs. T.J. O’Sullivan, Matt. Twomey, P. Crowley, A.H. Moore, F.G. Hayes, J.S. Henderson, T. McGrath, E. Wall, D. Ross, E.J. Clarke, J. Daly, V.S., P.J. O’Connell, D. Cronin, P.J. Good and T. Goold.

                       The minutes of the last meeting  were read & signed.

                                    On the motion  of Mr. M. Twomey, seconded by Mr. Henderson, the following members  were elected :- Thos. T. Murphy, M.C.C. Mitchelstown, and Thos. O’Sullivan, Oldcastle, Coachford.

                            A letter was read from J.W. McMullen  & Sons. Georges  Osuy, informing  the Society that they proposed to the  Stand  that  they had  in the present year ,for showing  their Poultry  Food at 1932  Show, and also  that they  were keeping  the  stand  they had  for some   years for displaying  their Paratha cooked maize. They also would undertake the feeding of birds  in the Society’s poultry hall ,as they did at the last Show free to the Society  on condition  the Society  allowed  them to  advertise that they  were doing so. With  regard to presenting  a Cup for the Poultry section ,that was  under consideration .The letter was  considered  satisfactory , and it  was referred to the  Show Committee.

On the motion  of Mr. D. Ross  seconded by Mr. J. Daly, the following cheques  as recommended by the Finance Committee  were passed :-

Mr. Daly  moved  a sincere  vote of sympathy to one of their  respected numbers of the Society ,Mr. Wm.  Desmond ,T.C. on the death of his mother, and another  to  Mr. Jack O’Regan , of  Crookstown, on the death of his child. Mr. Crowley  seconded  the motions  which are supported  by the Chairman, Secretary  and other members, and passed in silence ,the motions to be inserted in the minutes.
