The following gentlemen were proposed as members of the society, Connor Hegarty, Glanmire, Mr. Pierce, Sallybrook, Cork, Mr. Daniel, Bandon, D. Humphries, Midleton, P. Hawkes, Douglas, Mr. Cornell, ballyclough, D. Corrigan, General Murphy, Little Island, Peter Shiels, Clonakilty, R. Conroy, Carrigaline, W. Hosford, Carrigaline.
On the motion of Mr. Meade seconded by Mr. Bird, a vote of condolence with the family of the late Mr. Knowles was passed.
Sir. George Lothurst proposed and Mr. Donovon seconded that the society place on record its notice of the great loss they had sustained by the death of Mr. Sullivan.
The President mentioned that as requested he had attended several days at the Railway Rates for inquiry and though not examined he had sent his induce to Lord Balfour.
On the motion of Sir George Lothurst seconded by Mr. Meade a vote of thanks was passed to the president for the trouble he had taken.
